Mailmargin

Mailmargin Terms

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Nicholas Syrianoudis ("we", "us") for your use of the Mailmargin Chrome extension ("the extension"). By installing or using it you agree to them. Contact: support@plankfoundry.com. Postal address available on request at support@plankfoundry.com.

1. What the extension does

It lets you add private notes to Gmail threads, see which threads have a note, search your notes, and back them up with JSON export and import. Notes are stored only in your browser. See our Privacy Policy at https://plankfoundry.com/mailmargin/privacy/.

2. Price

Free. There is no paid plan. If we add one, we will update these terms and you will only be charged if you choose to subscribe.

3. Your notes

Your notes belong to you. Because they are stored only in your browser, you are responsible for backing them up. Uninstalling the extension or clearing its data deletes them, and we cannot recover them. Notes do not sync between computers.

4. Gmail changes

The extension works with Gmail's web page as it is today. If Google changes Gmail, the extension may stop working until we release an update, and we cannot promise that a fix will always be possible. Your stored notes are not affected by such changes.

5. Acceptable use

Use the extension only with your own Gmail account and in line with Google's terms. Don't try to break, reverse-engineer for misuse, or interfere with the extension.

6. No warranty

The extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost notes, lost data or indirect losses from using the extension. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering or updating it; if we do, the copy you have keeps working until Gmail changes, but we will not provide further fixes.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and material changes take effect when the updated extension or page is published. If you keep using the extension after that, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections of the law where you live.

11. Trademarks

Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC. Mailmargin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
